Weinstein Co. circles 'War in the Buttons'

The Weinstein Customers are settling to obtain Christophe Barratier's recent French pic "War in the Buttons."Pic, produced by La Petite Reine and Studio 37, is founded on Louis Pergaud's 1912 novel. Story concentrates on two rival gangs of babies from neighboring French cities who wage a cruel play-war against each other. "Buttons" was a couple of projects based on Pergaud's tome released in France this year. Another version directed by Yann Samuell unspooled in September -- the identical month since the Barratier-helmed pic. Barratier helmed "The Chorus" in 2004, which ongoing being major box office hit in Gaul and beyond. Miramax released "Chorus" when TWC's Bob and Harvey Weinstein still went the banner.
